Blow Me Down – A Noise Complaint That’s a Little Different
A flute player in West Hampstead was investigated after a complaint to council officials of noise nuisance by a neighbour. What was the outcome?
Noise officers investigated after the instrument could be heard by a council tenant coming from a private housing block nearby.
A council report into recent housing issues said: “The case was investigated and it was concluded that the noise was not classified as a statutory noise nuisance. Both parties agreed to swap contact numbers and the complainant agreed to call their neighbour if they were disturbed by noise.”
